Last month we announced that Quilter’s Irish Death would be available on draft at Century Link Field (Washington Craft House – Section 109). As a Craft Brewer in the Pacific Northwest, we feel very lucky that we have local sport teams (concessionaires) that understand the value in offering what the consumer demands while at either Safeco Field or the Clink. This might sound like a shameless sales technique, promoting new distribution for the upcoming Sounders and Mariners season and well, it is…but I hope to provide a little context.
Making sure that we properly educate you on your beverage options while rooting on your favorite Seattle team is important. We would hate for you to be caught up in the hype of the game and spend your hard earned money on a macro beer when you could spend about half a buck more on a craft brew. Broken down in simple economics: a 16 oz Macro Domestic Light Beer = $9.50ish or 16 oz (yup 16 oz) Quilter’s Irish Death $10.00ish? For a handful of pennies and dimes, you can support a local indie craft brand, broaden your flavor profile and increase ABV by 3.6%. Let’s be honest, Major League Baseball is “America’s Pastime,” the correlation is pretty simple…It’s not called “Purchased By A Global Bank Pastime” for a reason. So drink accordingly.
In addition to Quilter’s Irish Death being offered in a variety different draft locations (please reference the list below), 16 oz cans of Irish Death will be sold by the beer hawkers. Yes, you heard that right…you won’t even have to leave your seat to enjoy your favorite beer from Ellensburg, WA. So…on the eve of the Major League baseball season, we raise our 16 oz can to you, the sports enthusiast that understands the beer-conomics of the Northwest. Go Sounders and M’s.
