That was a trick.  or rather it was my attempt to “upworthify” or “buzzfeedify” this post, because I have been tricked too many times with titles like that. I would apologize, but then I would have to admit regret.

Okay, so this post is actually about our first round of Iron Horse Brewlette, from the participation side of things.

Whenever we have these ideas to do stuff like  -send 3 new beers into the market, unlabeled, and ask our distributors, retailers and consumers to guess what kind of beer they have – well, we have no idea what to expect. Partly, we hope for abysmal failure…(wait, is that a double negative?)…just so we can move on to something else. Ultimately though, we just like to try new stuff, because being “meh” is the opposite of where we want to be in this business. Despite a few hiccups, web app failures and missing beer locations, your participation of brewlette was 2.45% better than we expected.

I’ll let the charts do the talking, but what surprised me most about this, was how very little Twitter participation there was, especially since Twitter is so easy to use. It’s easy to use right?

Winner, Winner Chicken Brunch
But first, there are winners to be identified because they beat you and they want to rub that in your face. how rude. we like it. As a reminder, each quarter we are giving away one Grand Prize, which includes a Brewery Tour, Overnight stay in Ellensburg, a $62.00 gift certificate for dinner in Ellensburg, a $50 certificate for the bar/location where the winners guess chosen, a 64oz stainless steel growler jug, 2 pint glasses and a t-shirt. There are also THREE second place prizes which includes one 40oz stainless steel growler jug and 2 IHB pint glasses.

We used www.random.org to choose the winners from the eligible entries.

Our three most winningest of the losers are: Paul Ziegler, David Ussery, and Stuart Johnson. Good work at not quite winning but still pee-ing yourself with second place excitement. Congrats to our first ever Iron Horse Brewlette Grand Pu-bah: Megan Peterson. Random.org chose you beacue you are a unique snowflake who happened to play Brewlette, randomly. Good work winners, now let the wild rumpus start.

Now, here’s some data for you to ignore.

This design is wicked! You certainly know how to keep a reader amused.
Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved to start my own blog (well, almost…HaHa!) Wonderful job.

I really loved what you had to say, and more
than that, how you presented it. Too cool!
