Hello.
My name is Alison and I’m an intern, who does’t have to fetch coffee.
I have officially been interning for IHB for 5 days. Feels great to say that.
IHB is a company that stands out in the Ellensburg community because of its great product, and the personality that shines through at each location. And I am proud to say I am a part of the team.
I was first introduced to IHB through my classmate and friend. She convinced me to join the Spring Cornhole league of 2013. I was apprehensive because I had no idea what Cornhole was, and I had never visited this, very small, taproom.
To my relief, Cornhole was fun (I had to get a coach), and the beer was delicious (my first beer was High Five Hefe, yum!). But I was still taken by the atmosphere of the pub. Uncanny silliness in signage, and laid-back friendliness of staff allowed me to feel at home.
As time passed I became more and more fond of IHB. I was granted an amazing opportunity from the Director of Marketing, Jared, to be a marketing intern. From the invitation, to our first meeting, to now, the experience has been nothing but delightful. Everyone I meet has a smile on their face and is happy to accept me as a colleague. They expect each employee to play to their strengths and speak up when you feel like it.
Being an intern at IHB has manifested into a learning and working environment suited just for me. Skills that I want to learn as well as skills I need to learn to move forward in the marketing industry.
Can’t wait to see what happens next!
