“Every beer is your own beer,” he said. “You don’t have to drink what some brewmaster has decided what beer should taste like.”

The statement above was made by an entrepreneur that has recently created a liquid flavor enhancer for beer (think Mio). I take incredible offense to that statement. While he is correct, you don’t have to drink a particular beer, you don’t have the right to f**k with it. Brewers don’t decide what beer should taste like, they decide what their beer tastes like. If you don’t like it, try a different beer or make your own. Even brewmasters from macrobreweries take an incredible amount of pride in the product and would hate to see the product they painstakingly made to exacting standards fucked with by some wannabe beer snob that doesn’t appreciate what it takes to create the product they do on a daily basis. For this I’ll fall back on a consistent theme and add a part. If you like it, drink more of it. If you don’t like it, try something else.

Swann said that a $3.99 bottle of OnTap is enough to enhance the flavor profile of a 18 regular beers — resulting in a 33 percent savings compared to craft beer.

I don’t even know what to say to that. If you are one of those people, maybe just forgo the monthly expenditure on Extenze and buy the beer you like. It’s like flavoring chicken to taste like steak. Stupid. There is no way it will ever actually be as good as a steak. Save up and buy the steak. Smart. And delicious.
