Iron Horse Brewery is going to be offering public tours in 2017. Yes, you read that right.
Over the years we’ve had lots of informal and public tours here or there, but never have we had a full year of tour dates set so people could actually plan (what does that word mean?) in advance. This year we’re on top of our stuff, which is kind of unsettling to Jared.
Tours will be the third Saturday of every month in 2017.
What can you expect from an IHB tour? If you get lucky and are led by a brewer you’ll gain lots of knowledge about the beer-making process in extreme detail. If you end up being led by a marketing team member, you’ll probably get awkward jokes, some brewery history and the basics of the beer process. Sorry, you don’t get to choose which experience you get. Either way you’ll be learning for about 45 minutes, and you’ll probably get to play cornhole afterward.
Why come on a tour? – Well, for one you can see where Irish Death is made. In our opinion, that alone should be enough to make you get out of bed on a Saturday. Two – you get a custom glass available only to those on the tour, which is likely to be a valuable collector’s item someday. You also might make a new friend who is just as interested in Iron Horse beer as you are.
Tours have a small fee because those custom glasses were not free. BUT you’ll also get a coupon for a sampler at [ the pub ], plus you’ll have plenty of photo opportunities to help beef up your social media presence and rake in those likes. [you’re welcome]
The rules are simple: wear closed toe shoes, a shirt & pants cuz it’s a safety thing. & bring your ID. We’ll have safety glasses for you to wear.
So if you’re dying to see where all the magic secret brewery-ing stuff happens, sign up for a tour this year.
