Now: A Recipe by Regan “Terminator II” Rinker

When I was young, my Mom informed me spaghetti tasted better with red wine in it, and she was right….. Ever since the day I made this discovery, I try to think about what I should add to something to make it better. Now that I work for a brewery full time selling beer, beer is the obvious and most funnest choice… Funnest is not a word, I told you, I sell beer.

Keeping in mind the season and my own basic wants and needs, I recently tried out a recipe with Shrimp, sort of a play on Shrimp Ceviche. Seeing as I had a bottle of High Five Hefe open and was fantasizing about ginger and honey [which happen to be in it]…I concocted a miracle.

Recipe is as follows: Keep up

Ingredients:

1 ½ lbs raw shrimp, peeled and deveined. Get the Fresh stuff yo.

½ t. Kosher Salt

½ T Ground Cumin

¼ T. Chili Powder

3 T Olive Oil

2 C diced Mango

1 cup diced pineapple fresh

2 Tbl Fresh Cilantro

¼ T Red Chilli Flakes

Do This

Place Shrimp, seasonings and E.V.O.O in large plastic bag. Marinate and Chill for about 2 hours, longer is better…

Lime hefe Vinaigrette:

1 Tsp Lime Zest

3 Tbl Fresh Lime Juice

1 Tbl Orange juice

1 Tbl pineapple juice

1 Tbl honey

¼ cup high Five Hefe

¼ Tsp pepper

½ Tsp Cumin

Then Do This

Heat some oil in a skillet, cook shrimp 2 to 3 minutes until opaque. Combine Shrimp, Fruit Salsa and hefe vinaigrette on a platter tossing to coat. The most awesomer thing (also not a word) is you can serve this warm or cold. Double Booyah. You’re welcome- In advance

It’s cooking, beering, posting, and consumption time people. Open a bottle of beer, drink it while eating, or maybe in interval fashion, and enjoy your life.
