We Asked ChatGPT About Iron Horse

There are trendsetters and trend followers. What’s coming up in the world of fashion? Idk, what’re they saying in Paris? What’s coming up in the world of tech? Idk, what are Silicon Valley nerds saying? Certain groups of people are just industry leaders and many of us are happy to take the backseat and listen to what they say because they have the credentials and insight. But what’s soon to be cool and popular? THAT one we actually have an answer to, because Iron Horse employs some of the brightest minds of this generation… Which brings us to today’s topic: AI.

This is a new topic that nobody else is talking about, so screenshot this and remember that you heard it here first: AI is about to be super popular. But what is AI? It stands for “artificial intelligence,” and that means that computers have gained consciousness and can answer every question with infallibility. It’s like Skynet from the Terminator series; Arnold Schwarzenegger was trying to warn us. And Keanu Reeves, he tried to warn us too. Bless their hearts. But we didn’t listen. We created a beast and opened Pandora’s Box.

So now you’re up to speed, and if you’re interested in experiencing this monstrosity for yourself there’s a tool already at your fingertips. It’s called ChatGPT. Again, we know this is a new concept for you so we’ll hold your hand through this scary information-dump. We’d say “don’t worry it’ll all be okay” but we’re not liars. Skynet is coming. But in the meantime, ChatGPT is essentially like a hive mind for smart machines and it’s kind of fun to f*** around with. You ask it a question and it answers. Pretty simple. Think of it like Ask Jeeves, except instead of a bunch of dweebs answering your question it’s a super-computer hellbent on eventually destroying humanity. Neat.

So instead of dwelling on our upcoming demise, we asked it thought-provoking questions like “who would win in a fight, Mark Zuckerberg or Elon Musk?” And “Why is the save icon still a floppy disk?” And “how are ferrets a thing?” The answers were fascinating. But when we ran out of bigger life questions like these, we were interested to know what Skynet knows about Iron Horse. Here are the results:

QUESTION: “Do you know Iron Horse Brewery in Ellensburg, WA?”

(*actual, not kidding*) ANSWER from ChatGPT:

“Yes, I am familiar with Iron Horse Brewery. Iron Horse Brewery is a craft brewery located in Ellensburg, Washington. It is known for its creative and high-quality beers, with one of its most famous brews being the Irish Death, a dark ale that has gained a significant following. The brewery has a reputation for its distinctive branding, humorous marketing, and commitment to producing a wide variety of innovative beers. Iron Horse Brewery also has a tasting room where visitors can sample their beers and enjoy the local brewery atmosphere.”

QUESTION: “How would you describe Iron Horse Brewery’s marketing?”

(*still not kidding*) ANSWER from ChatGPT:

“Iron Horse Brewery’s marketing is known for its distinctive, humorous, and irreverent style. They often use a laid-back, witty, and slightly edgy tone that appeals to a younger, fun-loving audience. Here are a few key characteristics of their marketing approach:

  1. Humor and Irreverence: Their marketing materials frequently feature jokes, puns, and a playful attitude. They don’t take themselves too seriously, which sets them apart in the craft beer market.

  3. Distinctive Branding: The brewery’s branding is bold and memorable, with a focus on creative and eye-catching designs. Their labels, merchandise, and promotional materials often feature quirky and original artwork.

This approach has helped Iron Horse Brewery build a loyal following and stand out in the competitive craft beer market.”

-end.

Pretty good answer. Overall, AI will kill us in the end but at least it offers some interesting insight and well-summarized answers to difficult questions too. What is Iron Horse Brewery? Ask one of our cousins and you’ll get different answer from each of them. But ask ChatGPT and it’ll give you a concise summary of what each cousin would likely touch on… Without type-o’s or swears.

But two notes: 1). our audience isn’t just “the young fun-loving” crowd. Anyone sick of the boring, vanilla, corporate-America beer and marketing is a qualified candidate for our cult. And 2). we’re not on Twitter and it’s called “X” now. Which is a stupid name. Elon Musk would no doubt destroy Zuzkerberg in a fight but the guy is shit at rebranding.
